Department of Radiology

The Department of Radiology of Sri Ramachandra Institute Of Higher Education and Research (Deemed to Be University) started in the year 1986 with faculty strength of three and has grown up to faculty of 27 by 2014. The department has approximately 20,000 square feet of space and is located in the C0, C1 blocks of the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre and also in the inpatient and outpatient – G block. The faculty profile comprises of 22 full time diagnostic radiologists with expertise in every diagnostic modality. Apart from this, two full time medical physicists take regular classes in the radiological physics relevant to imaging as per the curriculum. Faculty members by themselves have good acclaim in the national circle, and several of them have received special training from reputed institutions within the country and outside. Several of them due to their academic excellence, are the guest faculty in various professional bodies and have several publications.

The department has several state of the art equipments, more than 100 personnel working for the diagnostic and therapeutic services and offers courses in Radiology since 1997 that includes MD, MSc (Imaging technology), BSc (AHS) and performs high quality teaching research and academic activities. The department also provides ample scope to pursue PhD and research.
